The Department of Labor Schedule A also lists registered nurses as another occupation that does not require an employer to undergo the PERM process. As such, a registered nurse being sponsored by a U.S. employer does not need to demonstrate that the position is available to another U.S. worker.
To qualify for a green card as a registered nurse, the employee should have the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field, and also a valid RN license in the state that they will be employed.
